Our big day at TV3's This Morning Show 13th April 2010
What an emotional rollercoaster of a day !
We were invited by The Morning Show on Tv3 to come to the studio and tell Kayleys story. The crew came to our house yesterday morning to film and we joined them on set at the TV3 studios yesterday.
I cant speak highly enough of TV3 and especially of Sybil and Martin. Martin King, especially had a big impact on Kayley although at one point she thought he was Joey from friends LOL
Myself and Keith were both quite nervous about it all but I think we did okay. The feedback from all those who have seen us on the show has been really positive and we really hope that as well as having had a platform to tell Kayleys story and our hope for her with this op, that we have helped other families that are desperately searching for something that will improve their childs quality of life that doesnt come with our lovely HSE in Ireland.
I bawled my eyes out watching Keith speaking about Kayley when they filmed at home it was even harder to watch it from the unusual perspective of watching ourselves on tv speaking about something so close to us that normally we have to be so strong about talking about without crumbling into crying :-)
